The TOEIC®

The TOEIC® (Test Of English for International Communication) is an English test which evaluates non-native speakers' command of the English language. It was created by the American-based  Educational Testing Service (ETS). The test is composed of 200 multiple choice questions: 100 testing oral comprehension and 100 testing reading comprehension, and lasts 2 hours. Approximate list of TOEIC equivalents:

*10 - 250-----> Beginner 
*255 - 400----->  Elementary
*405 - 600-----> Intermediate
*605 - 780-----> Basic command of English
*785 – 900-----> Superior command of English
*905 - 990-----> Professional mastery of international English

The TOEFL®

TOEFL® (Test Of English as a Foreign Language) is a standardized English test which evaluates a student's ability to understand the English language in a university context. The test was created in 1964 by Educational Testing Service (ETS). The test is composed of multiple choice questions testing on grammar, listening and written comprehension. Specifically, the English test evaluates oral comprehension, written expression and comprehension, and vocabulary.

English Tests - DCL

The DCL (Diplôme de Compétence en Langue) is a French diploma awarded by the French National Education department (éducation nationale française) which evaluates a student's ability to master a foreign language in professional situations. The test focuses on the use of a foreign language in a practical, professional context.

The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is an international English language test administered jointly by the University of Cambridge, the British Council and IDP Australia. The test evaluates a student's ability to master international English, particularly various accents. The IELTS tests on oral and written expression, as well as listening and written comprehension.

Formerly known as BULATS (Business Language Testing Service), Linguaskill is an English test taken on a computer that measures your level of English. The Linguaskill English test is designed by Cambridge Assessment English, a department of the University of Cambridge, and is based on English language skills used in everyday and professional situations.

English Tests - CAE

The Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) is an international certification test which evaluates a non-native student's mastery of the English language. The test is administered by Cambridge Assessment English, a program sponsored by the University of Cambridge. The levels of English tested correspond to C1, Advanced and Independent, as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The English test has 5 distinct elements: Written comprehension, written expression, grammar, oral comprehension and oral expression.

This certificate corresponds to the highest level of English awarded by Cambridge Assessment English, a program sponsored by the University of Cambridge. The test has 5 distinct elements: reading, written expression, use of English, oral comprehension and individual training.
