a eulogy: a tribute, a praising speech (especially at a funeral)
The eulogy at my grandmother's funeral really moved me, it was read by her husband of 60 years and contained some very poignant stories of her life.
UK: Bruno wrote a nice eulogy in memory of his grandfather.
US: There was a beautiful eulogy carved into the headstone.
