No longer is the equivalent to "any longer" but is used exclusively in affirmative constructions:

They are no longer together. They were together in the past, but now they are not.

(she doesn't sing) any longer: (She has) stopped, given up (singing)

Any longer is the equivalent to "no longer" but is used exclusively in negative and interrogative constructions:

I can't take it any longer! I am fed up with it! I am sick and tired of it!
Is he planning to stay any longer? Is he going to stay much more time?
