This statement is true. Calahan "claimed that the marks on his body were scars left after aliens had carried out experiments on him". The phrase "to carry out experiments" describes the act of "experimenting" or performing experiments. Calahan is expressing his belief that the aliens manipulated him while he was aboard their spacecraft. The verb "to claim" describes a belief which isn't necessarily true, or isn't (yet) supported by fact. Example: She claimed she saw a flying pig but I don't believe her.
This statement is false. The doctors examining Verne Calahan did find "strange marks all over his body" but nothing in the report states that these marks were caused by aliens or Martians experimenting on him. To abduct someone means to take them somewhere against their will. Example: Everyone was relieved when the abducted child was returned safe and sound.
This statement is false. It's actually the contrary. Moira reports that Verne Calahan was found after having "disappeared nearly twenty years ago." Verne Calahan believes he had only been gone for a few hours but he had in fact been missing for 20 years.
This is a true statement. Moira MacDonald refers to Verne Calahan as a "devoted husband and father of three". A "devoted" husband cares for his wife and is dedicated to her, and can therefore be considered a "good" husband. In English, we often describe parents as "fathers of three" or "mothers of five", a title which describes how many children a mother or father has.
