In the UK, the "first floor" is the next level up (one level higher than the "ground floor"). Example: "There are ninety-two floors in this building. The architect was a short man". The term "floor" also refers to the ground.
2 handle: "Handle" is the right answer here. A "door handle" is the part of the door used for opening and closing it. We hold it in our hands and turn. Unfortunately, Edward could not do this correctly. "Handle" can describe any part of a larger item designed to be held or moved by the user's hands. Example: "The handle has broken off my suitcase!".
