Exercice 1
Fill in the blanks with terms used in the dialogue!
The first term describes a journey or trip through the air, for example in a plane: "My was delayed, so I was late for the meeting."
Now find the verb which means to swap, change, or exchange one thing for something else which is less valuable or expensive: "I don't like this new Microtosh operating system. I want to to the older version please!"
Next, we need the verb which means to give someone their money back, or to reimburse them: "This car doesn't work. I want you to the money I paid right now!"
Finally, find the term which refers to the money or price you pay for a plane ticket: "If we invite you for an interview, we will reimburse your and other travel expenses."

1 flight: "Flight" is the term we were looking for here. A "flight" is a journey through the air, usually in a plane or helicopter. We also talk about "birds" flight'.
2 downgrade: "Downgrade" is the right answer. To "downgrade" something is to get a less expensive, less recent, or less good version of it! In the dialogue, Philip "downgrades" is plane ticket from a business class ticket to an economy class ticket in order to save money. Note that the opposite of "to downgrade" is "to upgrade". Example: "The air hostess upgraded my ticket to business class because I smiled at her".
3 refund: "Refund" is the correct answer here. To "refund someone's money" is to return their money to them. There is also a related noun: "a refund". In the dialogue, Philip receives "a refund" because he swaps an expensive ticket for a cheap ticket.
4 airfare: "Airfare" is the right answer. "Airfare" is the money you pay for an aeroplane ticket. Example: "The airfare alone was $4000, so I won't be able to spend much money on a hotel!".
