To "head to (a place)" is to go somewhere or move towards it. Example: Let's head to the gym in about fifteen minutes. The verb "to head" can be used with several different post-positions to express movement: to head towards (somewhere), to head for (home), to head out of (town), etc.
To "head to" the beach does not mean to "spend time" on the beach. To "head to" the beach expresses the act or movement of going to the beach.
To "head to" the beach does not mean to "lie" on the beach. "To lie on (a bed)" is to repose on it or place oneself horizontally upon it.
It is true that we think with our head, however to "head to the beach" means to go to the beach, not to think about or reflect upon the beach.

Where are Bruno, Donna and Horatio going after this meeting?
Bruno briefly mentions Horatio's laboratory in this dialogue, however he was talking about yesterday, when Bruno disturbed Horatio while he was working.
This is correct. Towards the end of this conversation, Horatio suggests a drink, and Bruno agrees by saying "hear hear" (an exclamation of agreement or accord). Finally Donna says, "Oh why not! Let's head to the pub, boys!". A "pub" is a type of bar. "To head to (or for) the bar" means "to go" or "begin the trip" to the bar.
At the end of this conversation, Donna says, "Let's head to the pub, boys!". The expression "to head to (the pub)" means to go to the pub.
A "hug" is an embrace, a physical gesture in which two people briefly hold each other affectionately. One can't go "to a hug", although one can hug in a pub.
