Choose all the TRUE statements from the list below:
This is a true statement. Susie is giving Bruno information from a public relations perspective on the monkey situation. She tells Bruno that "this could become a PR nightmare", referring to the possibility of the press becoming aware of Giuseppe's involvement testing perfumes for the company. A nightmare is a very bad dream, or a situation resembling a bad dream, for example: The holiday was a nightmare, there was no toilet paper in the hotel.
There is no evidence in this dialogue that the Delavigne is "under investigation" by PETA. However this possibility is the danger that Susie is bringing to Bruno's attention during this meeting.
This is a true statement. Bruno tells Susie "we're not hurting the animals in any way. Those monkeys love it here." This is a clear indication that Bruno believes the monkeys are "healthy and happy".
There is no evidence in this dialogue that the press has "exposed" Delavigne's methods to the public. However this possibility is the danger that Susie is bringing to Bruno's attention during this meeting. Susie does say that the press is "already suspicious" of Delavigne's methods, however this does not indicate that the press has exposed the company.
This is not a good choice. Bruno asks Susie if he should "make a deal" with Dr. Badguy, and she replies "it's up to you". However, at the end of the dialogue Bruno says "I have a better idea." This statement indicates that Bruno does not intend to make a deal with Dr. Badguy.

1 foe: Brent introduces today's topic by asking, "Eggs: friend or foe?". The term "foe" describes an adversary or enemy. "Friend or foe?" is an idiom often found in titles of reports, essays, broadcasts etc. to introduce an argument for and against a certain topic or issue (in this case the benefits and risks of eating eggs).
2 health: Moira reports that "eating too many eggs poses a health risk". In fact, this entire broadcasts examines the effect of eating eggs upon one's "health". Fiona doesn't want Horatio to bother her, so she suggests that he go get some coffee while she investigates his office.
This statement is false. Horatio does not have a problem with his kidneys. He says that coffee is "bad for the kidneys" in general, which is why he avoids it.

True: This statement is true. Dr. von Headcold informs Bruno that he is "alive and in good health". Though the doctor doesn't pronounce "health" very clearly, he does say it! Let's give him a break, English isn't his first language! To be "in good health" is to be in good physical condition.

"Do you work in retail?"

In the exercise below, match the jobs with the industry!

Nurse --> Health 1
Actor --> Entertainment 2
Waiter --> Hospitality 3
Sales Assistant --> Retail 4
1 Health: This is correct. A "nurse" is a medical professional who traditionally assists doctors. "Health" is the condition of the human body or mind. Therefore the "health industry" consists of organizations, businesses and workers that provide care, medicine, medical expertise and morphine.
1 Retail: This is not the best choice here. Nurses do not work in retail. They do not sell anything (apart from the occasional kidney on the black market).
1 Entertainment: This is not the best choice here. There are lots of actors and actresses that play nurses on TV. However, real nurses do not work in the entertainment industry!
1 Hospitality: This is not the best choice here. Nurses work in hospitals, they provide hospitality to patients, yet they do not work in the hospitality industry. Apparently the "saving people's lives" (health) aspect is more important than the "providing food and drinks" (hospitality) aspect. It's a crazy world!
2 Entertainment: This is correct. "Actors" play roles in films, television and plays. "Entertainment" is something that amuses or diverts like a performance or show. The entertainment industry consists of organizations, businesses and workers that provide entertainment. For example: exotic dancers work in the entertainment industry.
2 Health: This is not the best choice here. Actors do not work in the health industry - even those who star in hit TV shows like "ER" (Emergency Room)!
2 Hospitality: This is not the best choice here.
2 Retail: This is not the best choice here.
3 Hospitality: A waiter is a male employee who serves food and drink to the patrons of a restaurant. The hospitality industry includes hotels, food service, casinos, and tourism. Note the equivalent term for women: "waitress".
3 Health: This is not the best choice here. Waiters do not work in the health industry.
3 Retail: This is not the best choice here.
3 Entertainment: This is not the best choice here.
4 Retail: A sales assistant serves customers in a shop or retail outlet. The term "retail" means the sale of goods or commodities in small quantities directly to consumers. The retail industry consists of shops, stores and business involved in this activity.
4 Health: This is not the best choice here.
4 Hospitality: This is not the best choice here.
4 Entertainment: This is not the best choice here. Even incompetent sales people, who are quite funny to watch, do not work in the entertainment industry!
