情态动词：can 与 must

You must stop（你必须停下来），表示强制性的义务。例：you must follow the rules（你必须遵守规则）。

you can stop working now（你现在可以停止工作了）可以用来表示许可，但图中的标志表示的是义务。

Mustn't（不得，禁止）是 must 的否定缩写形式，表示"禁止做某事"，但这个标志表达的是相反的意思！例：you mustn't smoke here（此处禁止吸烟）。

You can swim（你可以游泳），标志显示此处允许游泳。例：you can bring your own food to the party（你可以自带食物参加派对）。

You must swim（你必须游泳）表示被迫去做，而这里的标志只是表明允许游泳。

You cannot swim（这里不能游泳）表示在该区域不允许游泳，但这和图中所显示的恰恰相反！

You can't take pictures（你不能拍照）。这是剧院和博物馆常见的提示，用于禁止闪光拍摄。例：you can't drink when you are 12（12岁时不能喝酒）。

Dogs cannot enter（狗不得入内）通常用于禁止狗进入的场合，但这里这个标志的意思恰恰相反——狗是可以进入的！

People cannot enter（人们不能进入），例如某些危险区域。例：you cannot come by car because you cannot drive（你不能开车来，因为你不会开车）。
