Modal auxiliaries and the perfect tenses

情态助词+Have+过去分词这种结构(情态助词+完成式)可以用来回顾过去一个已经完成的动作:
It must have been hot last summer. 去年夏天天气应该很热。
He could not have murdered her, since he was in Chicago. 当时他还在芝加哥，不太可能是他谋杀了她。
They may have crossed the border by now. 他们现在可能已经穿过国界。
You might have missed a very good opportunity. 你可能已经错过了一次很好的机会。
She needn't have cleaned the entire house. 她不需要去清洁整个房子。
