简短回答
在回答问题时，只说 Yes 或 No 可能显得过于直接，甚至失礼。如果想更礼貌，可以加上简短回答。
- 你喜欢苹果吗？- 是的，我喜欢。
- 她在大学吗？- 不，她不在。
简短回答的结构为：Yes/No，+ 主语人称代词 Subject personal pronouns + 问句中第一个词的适当形式（动词 to be、to have，或 do/does、can、will、must 等）。

用正确的选项补全以下简短回答。

-Can you set the table? -Yes, I can.（你能摆桌子吗？——能。）问句以 can 开头，肯定简短回答中重复同一个词。例：-Can you hear me? -Yes, we can.（你们能听到我吗？——能。）
在简短回答中，要用问句中第一个词的正确形式（这里是 can），而不是主要动词（这里是 set）。例：-Can I borrow your pen? -Yes, you can.（- 我可以借你的钢笔吗？- 可以。）
如果问句以 do 开头，可以用 -Do you have a pen? -Yes, I do（你有笔吗？- 有的）来回答，但这里的问句以 can 开头。
-Does he know your name? -No, he doesn't.（他知道你的名字吗？不，他不知道。）否定简短回答的结构：no, + 主语人称代词 Subject personal pronouns（这里是 he）+ 问句第一个词的否定缩写形式（这里是 does → doesn't）。例：-Do you like reading? -No, I don't.（你喜欢阅读吗？不，我不喜欢。）
在肯定的简短回答中可以说 -Does he know your name? -Yes, he does（他知道你的名字吗？是的，他知道），但这里的回答是否定的。
如果给出较长的回答，可以说 -Does he know your name? -Yes, I think he knows my name（他知道你的名字吗？是的，我想他知道我的名字）；但在简短回答中，需要重复问句的第一个词，而不是主要动词。
-Are they at home? -Yes, they are.（他们在家吗？是的。）简短回答的结构为：Yes/No，+ 主语人称代词 Subject personal pronouns（这里是 they）+ 问句第一个词的适当形式。例：-Have they got a solution? -No, they haven't.（他们有解决办法吗？没有。）
简短回答中要使用人称代词（I, you, we, they, 等），而不能用 Timmy 这样的名字。
do 可以用在短答句中的主语后面，例如 -Do you enjoy this course? -Yes, I do（你喜欢这门课吗？喜欢），但此处空缺的词是 are 前面的主语代词。
