Luna tells Trey "you will be hearing from us again very soon" which indicates that she will be contacting Trey in the near future.
Luna tells Trey that he has been "short-listed" for the position, which doesn't indicate that he is "no longer" (or "not anymore") being considered for the position.
The term "short-listed" does not indicate that a candidate has received the position they are being interviewed for. Luna does not tell Trey that he has the position, but rather that the interview went very well and that he has been "short-listed" for the job.
A "short-listed" candidate has joined a smaller or final group of people competing for something (a position, an award). Example: After fifteen interviews, we short-listed the five most qualified candidates. Trey's first interview went well enough that Luna tells him immediately that he is among the most qualified candidates for the position.
Luna asks Trey to have his arm "checked by a doctor" because he was shot before coming to the interview, which is not an indication that a medical visit is required for this position.
