Bruno is going London to meet an important . He wants Hannah to him about .
Bruno is going to 1 London to meet an important customer 2. He wants Hannah to teach 3 him about British bars 4.
1 to: This is correct. The preposition "to" follows "to go" when describing travelling to a place or country, for example: I am going to the shops, does anyone want anything?
1 in: This is incorrect. The preposition "in" never follows "to go" when describing travelling to a place or country. We cannot say "I am going in France next week", for instance.
1 at: This is incorrect. The preposition "at" never follows "to go" when describing travelling to a place or country. We cannot say "I am going at France next week", for instance.
1 away: This is incorrect. "To go away" is to depart, however the preposition "to" still needs to follow this construction when departing to a place or country.
2 customer: This is correct. Bruno says "I'm meeting a very important client". A "customer" is a client or patron, someone who purchases services or goods.
2 guest: This is incorrect. Bruno does not say he is meeting a guest. A "guest" is someone who receives another person's hospitality, for example by being invited to the host's house.
2 friend: This is incorrect. Bruno does not say he is meeting a friend.
2 competitor: This is incorrect. Bruno does not say he is meeting a competitor. A "competitor" is a "rival" or "adversary". The term is used frequently in both business and sports contexts.
3 teach: This is correct. The verb "to teach" means "to instruct" or "give knowledge". Bruno says "I need someone to teach me about British pub culture".
3 learn: The verb "to learn" describes the passive act of "acquiring" knowledge or information, not giving or imparting information. Note the difference between the active act of "teaching" (or "imparting knowledge") versus "learning", which describes "acquiring" information.
3 explain: This sentence needs the preposition "to". We can explain something TO someone, not explain something someone. Example: One day I will have to explain the facts of life to my son.
3 say: This sentence needs the preposition "to". We say something TO someone, not say something someone. Example: You can say everything to her, she'll always keep a secret.
4 British bars: This is correct. "Pubs" and "bars" share a similar meaning: a place where drinks are consumed. "Pub" is used more in the UK, "bar" is used more in the US. Bruno says "I'd like to know as much as possible about pubs". Get ready, this episode will be about pubs!
4 British women: Bruno may be interested in British women, but he does not communicate this to Hannah.
4 British dogs: Bruno loves dogs, but what he loves most is his dog, Stink. He doesn't communicate to Hannah that he'd like more information about British dogs.
4 British humour: Bruno loves jokes, in fact he's a very funny guy. But he doesn't communicate to Hannah that he'd like to know more about the famed British sense of humour.
练习 2
"I have been a loyal Delavigne customer for over six weeks". This means that:

"I have been a loyal Delavigne customer for over six weeks". This means that:
The letter mentions nothing about Karl being an employee of Delavigne.
Karl's statement, "I have been a loyal customer for over six weeks", expresses that Karl became a client (or customer) of Delavigne six weeks ago. The use of the term "for" indicates the duration (or length of time) which Karl has been a customer of the Delavigne Corporation.
Writing letters does not necessarily express that someone is a "customer". This is not the best choice here.
This is not what Karl is expressing when he writes that he has been a loyal Delavigne customer for over six weeks. His sentence indicates that he continues to be a Delavigne customer, not that he stopped six weeks ago.
