A "deposit slip" is a piece of paper which documents a deposit. It isn't required for making "wire transfers", which is the process of sending money from one place to another.
A "receipt" is a piece of paper which acknowledges or documents the receipt of an article, a sum of money, merchandise, etc. Receipts usually includes details such as the amount, date, and place of purchase. Example: I asked the store manager for a receipt. A "receipt" different than a "deposit slip", which is a piece of paper confirming a deposit is generally used only to refer to banking transactions.
Although a form of identification is often required for bank transactions, "a deposit slip" isn't a type of identification.

A "deposit slip" is a piece of paper required by a bank for depositing cash or checks to a personal bank account. It includes information about the bank, the account and the deposit, and is completed by the client at the time of the deposit. Information found on a deposit slip includes the number of checks being deposited, the total amount in cash, the client's account number, etc. Example: My deposit was not credited to my account because I didn't include a deposit slip.
