This is not true. Brian says that the Current Events Club meetings offer a "chance to get a bit of perspective on life outside of the Delavigne Corporation". Things happening "outside" of Delavigne are the opposite of "office gossip", or talking about your colleagues' personal lives!
This is the correct answer. At the start of the meeting, Brian announces that "these meetings are an opportunity for us to discuss what is going on in this crazy world". This means that the purpose is to talk about what's happening, and discuss "current events".
Brian does not say that the Current Events Club meetings offer a chance for Delavigne employees to relax or unwind.
