Make a list of items that Philip and Steffi Fünffinger have brought to the meeting.

Steffi's list:

- A notebook 1 to write in

- 3 sharp 2 pencils

- A bottle of sparkling 3 water
Philip's list:

- An intern 4 called Edward Moon

- Edward Moon's guitar 5

- Some funky sales music
1 notebook: A "notebook" is a book for writing in. Steffi says "in preparation for our negotiations, I brought a notebook".
2 sharp: A "sharp" object is one that cuts easily (it has a thin edge or a fine point). In the audio, Steffi says that she has brought "three sharp pencils" with her. To "sharpen (a pencil)" is to cut or shave it so that it has a pointed end.
3 sparkling: "Sparkling water" is water which has been carbonated. It contains bubbles of carbon dioxide gas. Champagne is a type of "sparkling wine". To "sparkle" is to shine with flashes of light, or to reflect light brightly. Example: The stars sparkled in the moonlight.
4 intern: An "intern" is someone (generally a young person) who joins a company (or other organization) looking for work experience, and who is generally paid little or nothing. Philip says, "I brought along my intern Edward Moon." Note that in British English, an "intern" is usually referred to as a "work experience person".
5 guitar: A "guitar" is a type of musical instrument with strings. Singer songwriters such as Edward Moon use guitars to impress women and conduct sales meetings.
