Dear Ms. Bauer- I would like to take you up on your offer for an inspection of our offices. My staff has been hassling me to make some changes to our San Francisco offices, and I think it's about time I acted on their requests for a more environmentally-friendly workspace.

Hallo Ursula! I'm greatly interested in buying the green office furniture you are advertising. Better still, how's about we get together and talk "efficiency". I just love the Germans! This reply does not make sense given the nature of the advert. Ursula Bauer's company has not contacted the Delavigne Corporation directly, so there is no need for a reply in which their services are declined or refused. Furthermore, this company is not proposing financial support or investment, nor are they concerned with research and development. Ursula Bauer's company is selling their services in the field of environmental consulting.

This is the most likely answer. Ursula Bauer Environmental Consulting offers to provide advice on environmental issues in the office. This email response makes the most sense for Bruno's reply. Bruno addresses Ms Bauer's offer for a free "on-site" inspection, and requests the services advertised. To "hassle (someone)" is to "bother", "annoy" or "harass" them, for example: My wife has been hassling me all day to clean the car. "To take someone up (on an offer)" is to accept it.

It would be great if this were the answer, but unfortunately this is just not the case. For a start, this is not an advert for office furniture (desks, chairs, couches, etc.). Secondly, it would be inappropriate for Bruno to reply to an advert in this way (the tone is too informal and makes little sense). "Braces" are a dental appliance used for straightening the teeth, and "pigtails" are a style of wearing the hair (in braids).

This reply does not make sense given the nature of the advert. Ursula Bauer's company is an environmental consulting group. There is no indication that this company offer other kinds of business consulting. Furthermore there is no mention in the advert that the company offers advice on how to make employees more "productive". This request fits the description for efficiency consulting services.
