When Luna says she is going to "get to work on it" she is not referring to the personal work she must do. She is actually referring to the preparations for Bob's birthday party.
The expression "to get to work" means "to begin working", or even "to go to work". "Right away" is an idiom which means "immediately" or "very soon". When Luna says "it", she is referring to Bob's birthday: Luna will begin preparing for Bob's birthday party immediately.
When Luna says she is going to "get to work on it" she is not referring thinking of a location for Bob's party. Polly has already agreed to let her host the party in the Delavigne offices.
