定义

instead of (doing something): 代替（做某事） prepositionadverb
Instead of 后接名词或动名词
I would prefer tea instead of coffee. 我想喝茶而不是咖啡。
Instead of asking questions, you should just start working. 不要再提问了，你应该马上开始工作。
instead (end of sentence): 替代（放在句末） adverb
副词instead（不带of）用于句末：
They needed a banker, but they got a consultant instead. 他们需要一个银行家但是却找到一个顾问。
