This statement is not true. Harold is initially reluctant to purchase Bordello Breeze because it is "last year's fragrance", meaning that it is not a new product. Warbuckle never mentions anything about not wanting to purchase any new fragrances.
This statement is true. Philip tells Harold that he is the "oldest" and "most respected" Delavigne retailer. An "old (person)" is aged or has lived for a long time. Philip is offering Warbuckle the rights to be the exclusive distributor of Bordello Breeze because of their long-standing relationship.

1 founded: "To found (a company, a church)" is to start, create or launch one. The term is often associated with institutions, organizations, corporation, etc) being "established", "launched" or "started". The verb "to found" is generally used in the passive voice (the building was founded in 1884).
2 oldest: "Oldest" is the superlative form of the adjective "old", meaning "elderly" or "aged". Captain Fantastic describes Boston as one of the "oldest" cities in America, meaning that it has existed for a long time (since 1630).
3 site: A "site" refers to a location or place, generally one where something significant occurs. For example: A construction site, a memorial site. Captain Fantastic refers to Boston as the "site" of many historical events (battles and political protests).
4 several: The term "several" describes a number more than two or three. Example: "Several apples" might mean 3, 4, or 5 apples. Captain Fantastic tells us that Boston is the location of "several" historical events in the past.

Fill in the blanks with words from Edward's song.
Look at your hands 1, they're such useful 2 tools,
They can wave 3 to a friend, or hold 4 power tools...
1 hands: A "hand" describes the palm and five fingers at the end of the arm. Hands are, as Edward says, "very useful tools". The hand can be used to write, draw, eat, paint etc.
2 useful: A "useful (tool)" is one which is "helpful", "practical", or "utile". In his song, Edward calls "hands" very "useful" tools. Example: "The University Careers Service gave me some useful information when I was looking for a job". Note that when "full" is used as a suffix, it is written "-ful". Some more examples: wonderful, grateful, helpful.
3 wave: To "wave (your hand")" is to make a sign or gesture with your hand, often as a greeting or a sign of departure. For example, we "wave" our hands to say hello and goodbye. In his song, Edward sings that hands can be used to 'wave" to a friend.
4 hold: To "hold" in this sense, is to physically carry something, with the hands usually. In his song, Edward sings that hands can be used to "hold power tools". "Power tools" are electronic tools such as "drills", "sanders", "saws", etc.

"I think my server may have recently infected the whole network". Bob seems to be talking about a computer virus. How else might he express this?
"I think it may have recently across the network".
"I think it may have recently across the network".
"I think my server may have recently infected the whole network". Bob seems to be talking about a computer virus. How else might he express this?
"I think it may have recently spread 1 across the entire 2 network".
"I think it may have recently spread 1 across the entire 2 network".
1 spread: When a virus infects a network, it "spreads across" the network. "To spread" means to become gradually more present in multiple areas of something. For example: "The idea has spread throughout British society". We can also use "to spread" to refer to distributing a substance over a surface, for example: "I'll spread this butter on your bread".
1 slid: We can't use the verb "to slide" to describe a virus infecting a network. "To slide" means "to move along a smooth surface" (often downwards). For example: "I slid across the surface of the ice"; "He slid down the rainy hill".
1 jumped: We can't use the verb "to jump" to describe a virus infecting a network. "To jump" in this context means "to move suddenly from one place to another". For example: "The cursor jumped from one side of the screen to the other".
2 entire: "The whole network" means the same thing as "the entire network": both refer to all parts of the network together. Another example: "The entire house is flooded".
2 old: "Old" is the opposite of "new" or "young". It does not share a meaning with "whole".
2 unprotected: An "unprotected" network is one which has inadequate security or protection. This is not the same as "the whole network".
