killed: This is the correct answer. To "put an animal to sleep" is a euphemism (a nice way of describing something that is not nice at all) meaning "to kill an animal" - usually by lethal injection. In the article, we read that "killing such "problem animals" is standard procedure" and that "Shoshana will be given a lethal injection". That's very sad, isn't it?
given a new sleeping area: This is incorrect. Unfortunately for Shoshana, she won't get a new bed. To "put an animal" to sleep does not literally mean to put them into bed: it means to kill them.
moved to another zoo: This is incorrect. There is no second chance for Shoshana, and she is not going to live in a different zoo.
