to set off: 出发，动身，分开 verb
I'm setting off for a six-month trip around Europe. 我要动身去欧洲开始为期六个月的旅行。
to set (an alarm) off: 拉响（警铃） verb
  • "Bruno took the little money he had earned, packed his bags, and with his loyal dog Stink, set off to explore the world."
