Kevin simply wants to ask Bruno if he can keep the bike, he doesn't want to show it to Bruno.
Kevin does not intend to "sell this bike", but rather he plans to replace the missing parts and rebuild it. There is no indication in his email that he intends to sell the bike.
This is the best choice here. Kevin writes that he has calculated the cost of replacement parts of the bike, and he concludes that it would be less expensive to buy these replacement parts than to buy a new bicycle. This tells us that Kevin plans to repair the bicycle.
To "strip something for parts" is to salvage the parts of something (a car, a bike) and to keep only the parts which are useful to you. If someone finds a bike with no seat, he might take the wheels, frame and handle bars of the bike for himself to construct a new one. This is not what Kevin plans on doing. He wants to buy replacement parts and repair the bike.
