3 end: "End" is indeed a synonym for "finish". Polly writes: "several of you have abused our copier and as a direct result of your abuse, brought it to an untimely END".
4 beneath: "Beneath" means "under" or "underneath". Polly writes: "Several wads (=piles) of chewing gum wedged BENEATH the paper tray"

The word "condition" has many different meanings, but in this context, a condition is a "health problem", "sickness" or even a disease (though these terms aren't totally synonymous).
