Although it's always a pleasure having your life threatened by children, this isn't the phrase that pays on Halloween night!
Trick or treat! The classic Halloween greeting. During Halloween night, children and mentally unstable adults go door to door asking for candy. When you open the door for them, they scream "trick or treat". Although usually they are given candy (a treat), you technically have permission to give them a "trick" of your choosing.
Although it's catchy, this isn't the phrase that pays on Halloween night.
