This is not the best choice here. "Washing up dishes" is what we do with dirty plates, bowls, forks, knives, etc. after we have eaten. We can either do this manually, in a sink, or automatically, with a "dishwasher".

This is not the best choice here. Perhaps you were thinking of a "hairdryer" - an appliance which blows hot air and allows us to dry our hair after a shower or bath!
