1 habits: A 'habit' is a pattern of behaviour that is often acquired through repetition, for example: After smoking two packets of cigarettes I acquired a smoking habit. The text refers to 'fragrance buying habits' which are modes of behaviour when buying perfumes, such as always buying expensive colognes or only buying fragrances at Christmas.
2 findings: A 'finding' is a conclusion reached after an examination or investigation. Example: After his mission to China, Kevin gave Bruno his findings on the factories he visited. We read in the text 'Please find below our key findings' which is a useful expression, often used in reports, to indicate that the main points of the report will follow.
3 surveyed: To 'survey (a group of people)' is to collect the group's opinions, often about things like political views or their attitude to new products. In the text we read that 'over 5,000 males were surveyed by Smell Solutions about their fragrance buying habits' meaning that a group of 5,000 males responded to Smell Solutions market research group and gave them their opinions about buying perfumes. Note that one can also 'take' or 'conduct' a survey.
