It's time to find some words used in Brian's email!

This word describes when children are not allowed to leave the house because they did something bad: "Bobby can't come to the diner because his dad has grounded 1 him for kissing Shelley."

This term refers to an uneven, rough, or rocky surface: "The road to Twin Peaks is very bumpy 2, which causes a lot of accidents."

Finally, find the word that refers to a penalty or price paid for doing something wrong: "Donna's [not done] punishment 3 was very severe: she was sent to bed with no dinner for a week."
1 grounded: "Grounded" is the right answer. To "ground" a child is to tell them that they are not allowed to leave the house as punishment for bad behaviour. In the email, we read that Icarus has been "grounded" by his mother. Another example: "I've been grounded for telling my mother to fork off".
2 bumpy: "Bumpy" is the best choice here. A surface which is "bumpy" is irregular or rough. Another example: "If I don't take my makeup off at night, my skin goes bumpy and I have to hide in my bedroom for a week".
3 punishment: "Punishment" is the correct answer here. It is the noun related to the verb "punish". When we "punish" someone, we make them suffer or give them a penalty for something bad they have done. Example: "I haven't decided how to punish you, but the punishment will be very horrible".
