According to the text, what led to Grandfather's infection?
According to the text, what led to Grandfather's infection?
It is true that Grandfather was 104-years-old, but this is not why he got an infection. It was in fact his football injury which led to his injury.
Although Kevin's grandfather had an affinity for whiskey, his difficulties with alcohol are unrelated to his football injury. It is not stated that Grandfather was drunk at the time of his injury.
Kevin writes that his grandfather "scratched his shin" as a result of a football injury. A "scratch" is a minor "cut" to the surface of the skin. It was this scratch which then became infected and eventually led to Grandfather's death.
This statement is not true. Kevin writes that his grandfather "refused medical attention" because he did not believe in modern medicine.

Select the correct definitions for the expressions below which were used in the dialogue:
Suit yourself means "do whatever you like! 1"
I'm just teasing means "I'm just joking 2".
Suit yourself means "do whatever you like! 1"
I'm just teasing means "I'm just joking 2".
1 do whatever you like!: This is correct. "Suit yourself" is an expression which means "do as you please" or "do what you want to do". For example, "-I'm taking Monday off. -Suit yourself". In the dialogue, when Leonard tells Bruno that he has decided to stay in Bruno's office, Bruno replies "Suit yourself. I have an appointment in a few minutes." Bruno is telling Leonard to stay if he wants to, however Bruno will be leaving for another appointment soon. It also expresses that Bruno doesn't really care that Leonard has decided to go on a hunger strike, and suggests that Leonard's negotiation tactics are not effective.
1 get dressed in a jacket and trousers!: This is incorrect. The expression "suit yourself" has nothing to do with the noun "suit", which describes a jacket and trouser combination often worn in formal situations.
1 I accept your apologies!: This is incorrect. The expression "suit yourself" does not mean "I accept your apologies".
1 don't waste your time!: This is incorrect. The expression "suit yourself" does not mean "don't waste your time".
2 I'm just joking: This is correct. To "tease (someone)" is to mock or make fun of them. In the dialogue, when Bruno says to Leonard: "I admit that French is still used ... in restaurants! I'm just teasing", he means that his statement French being used in restaurants is just a joke, and that he didn't mean any offense by it.
2 I'm just drinking: This is incorrect. To "tease" doesn't mean to drink and never will!
2 I'm just thinking out loud: This is incorrect. To "think out loud" means to express your thoughts vocally, which is not the same meaning as to "tease".
2 I'm just tackling: This is incorrect. To "tackle" means to intercept (in a sporting context), or to make a determined effort to deal with (a difficult task).
