The demonstratives
Esistono due aggettivi dimostrativi: this e that che possono essere usati anche per sostituire una persona, una cosa o un concetto.
Are these your monkeys? Queste sono le tue scimmie?

these days In questi giorni
in that country In quel paese.
Look at that plane. Guarad quell'aereo.

• this (singolare), these (plurale) si usano per esprimere PROSSIMITÀ nello spazio o nel tempo.
• that (singular), those (plural) are used to express DISTANCE in space or time.
• that (singular), those (plural) are used to express DISTANCE in space or time.
These whales are very beautiful. Queste balene sono bellissime.
This is Luna. Questa è Luna.Are these your monkeys? Queste sono le tue scimmie?
