Traduzione e definizione

to bring something to someone's attention: portare qualcosa all’attenzione di qualcuno idiom
It has been brought to my attention that this year's ad campaign has not been very well received so far. It doesn't matter who told me, the important thing is that I'm aware of the situation. Mi è stato fatto notare che la campagna pubblicitaria di quest'anno finora non è stata accolta molto bene. Non importa chi me l'abbia detto, l'importante è che io sia al corrente della situazione.

This is not the best definition. To "warn" somebody about something is to tell them in advance that a bad thing may happen.
This is not the best definition. Bob uses a passive construction in his email. This means that it is not Bob who is informing people: he is being informed by someone else!
This is the best choice here. To "bring something to someone's attention" is to "tell" or "inform" them about something. Bob is expressing that someone has recently informed him of an event. Here's another example: "I would like to bring these sales figures to your attention". Note that the verb "to bring" is irregular: bring/brought/brought.
This is not the best definition. If something has "been brought to your attention", you have not found the information yourself: rather, somebody has told you about it.
