He did not enjoy the meal. The negative full form of the past simple is: subject (here, he) + did not + infinitive without to (here, to enjoy). Note: the short form of did not is didn't. Example: I did not/didn't buy that ring.
He does not enjoy the meal is the negative form of the present simple, not of the past simple.
You could say, for example, I will not do what you say in the future simple tense, but here we need the negative form of the past simple.
Did you visit the museum? with did + subject (here, you) + infinitive without to (to visit) to ask a question in the past simple tense. Example: did you enjoy the show?
You could say, for example, I can visit you next Sunday, but that's not a question in the past simple tense.
A visitor is a person who visits a person or a place, but it's not the word we need to create a question here. Example: the museum gets visitors from all over the country.
They didn't get a call, with the short negative form of the past simple: didn't + infinitive without to (to get). Note: this structure is used for both regular and irregular verbs. Examples: to explore → I didn't explore the entire island; to go → I didn't go far.
You could say they didn't go to the restaurant with the verb to go, but in the original sentence we had the verb to get.
A jet is a fast aeroplane, not a form of the verb to get. Example: the president travels by private jet.
