Os pronomes possessivos são usados no lugar de um adjetivo possessivo Possessive adjectives + substantivo para indicar posse, geralmente para evitar repetições.

1 ours:

Our offices are closed → Ours are closed. Ours Possessive pronouns is the possessive pronoun that can replace our Possessive adjectives + noun (here, offices). It corresponds to the subject we. Example: those are our bags → those are ours.

1 yours:

Yours can replace your + noun, not our + noun. Example: your recipe is easier than mine → yours is easier than mine.

1 theirs:

Use theirs in place of their + noun, not in place of our + noun. Example: their projects are inspiring → theirs are inspiring.

2 yours:

This is your bag → this is yours. Use yours Possessive pronouns to replace your Possessive adjectives + noun (here, bag). It corresponds to the subject you (singular and plural). Example: your ticket is expensive → yours is expensive.

2 mine:

Use mine in place of my + noun, not in place of your + noun. Example: it's my phone! → it's mine!

2 ours:

Ours is used to replace our + noun, not your + noun. Example: our group is large → ours is large.

3 his:

They are his shoes → they are his. Use his Possessive pronouns in place of his Possessive adjectives + noun (here, shoes) to refer to the subject he (♂). Example: his t-shirt is small → his is small.

3 hers:

Use hers (♀) to replace her + noun, not his + noun. Example: these are her bracelets → these are hers.

3 he's:

He's is short for he is To be, present simple, short form and does not indicate possession. Example: -Where is John? -He's at home.

1 yours:

My brother lives in Bristol, and yours? (you) Yours Possessive pronouns corresponds to the subject you (both singular and plural). Example: -Whose is this coffee? -It's yours!

2 hers:

-Whose are these bracelets? -They are hers (Anna). When something belongs to a singular, female subject (here, Anna = she), we can use hers (in place of her bracelets here) Possessive pronouns. Example: my favourite dish is fish and chips and hers is pie and mash.

3 theirs:

Your car is white and theirs is red. (they) The possessive pronoun that corresponds to the subject they is theirs Possessive pronouns. Example: your books are more interesting than theirs.
