规则动词的一般现在时

规则动词在一般现在时肯定形式中的变位规则如下:

想要(To want
I want(我想要)
You want(你想要)
He/She/It wants(他/她/它想要)
We want(我们想要)
You want(你们想要)
They want(他们想要)
说话(To talk
I talk(我说话)
You talk(你说话)
He/She/It talks(他/她/它说话)
We talk(我们说话)
You talk(你们说话)
They talk(他们说话)

注意:除了 he/she/it 之外,所有代词使用的都是不带 to 的不定式原形;he/she/it 后面的动词需要在词尾加 s

居住 → 她住在 Leeds。

下雨 → 伦敦经常下很多雨。

一般现在时用于描述习惯性动作或普遍真理。

我每天早上7点醒来

太阳在东方升起,在西方落下

练习 1

Choose the best option to complete each sentence.

The hotel at 6 a.m.

They in Central Park.

It a lot in autumn.

Choose the best option to complete each sentence.

The hotel opens 1 at 6 a.m.

They live 2 in Central Park.

It rains 3 a lot in autumn.

1 opens:

The hotel opens at 6 a.m. In the present simple tense, add an s at the end of the verb when the subject is he, she or it (here the hotel = it). Example: he works in New York

1 open:

Use open after all subjects except for he, she or it. Example: I/you/they open the door.

2 live:

They live in Central Park. In the present simple tense, use the infinitive form without to (to live live) with all subjects, except for he/she/it. Example: they live in Melbourne.

2 lives:

You could say, for example, He lives in Central Park with lives because the subject is he, but not with they.

3 rains:

It rains a lot in autumn… especially in the UK! With a subject like it, add an s at the end of the verb in the present simple tense. Example: when it rains, it pours. Note: it is often used to refer to the weather (it snows here).

3 rain:

When the subject is it we have to add an s to the end of the verb.

练习 2

Choose the best option to complete each sentence.

He a job.
We up early.
Anna a new bike.

Choose the best option to complete each sentence.

He needs 1 a job.
We wake 2 up early.
Anna wants 3 a new bike.

1 needs:

He needs a job. In the present simple tense, add an s at the end of the verb when it is conjugated with he, she or it. Example: Mary cleans her room.

1 need:

You can say, for example, we need a job without an s because the subject is we, but you need to add the s with a subject like he.

2 wake:

We wake up early. In the present simple tense, use the infinitive form without to (to make make) with all subjects, except for he/she/it. Example: we make a cake and we eat it all!

2 wakes:

Add an s at the end of the verb if the subject is he/she/it, but not when the subject is we. Example: Roger wakes up at 9 a.m.

3 wants:

Anna wants a new bike, with an s at the end of the verb because the subject is Anna (=she). Example: She wants to go on holiday. (I need a holiday too!)

3 want:

You could use want with all subjects except for he/she/it. In this case, the sentence refers to Anna, which corresponds to the subject she. Example: I/you/they want a new bike.

练习 3

Conjugate the verbs in brackets in the present tense to complete each sentence.

Luca English lessons.

I to music.

She home at 6 p.m.

Conjugate the verbs in brackets in the present tense to complete each sentence.

Luca [not done] takes 1 English lessons.

I [not done] listen 2 to music.

She [not done] comes 3 home at 6 p.m.

1 takes:

Luca takes English lessons with an s at the end of the verb because the subject is Luca (=he). Example: He drinks a lot of water.

2 listen:

I listen to music. Remove the to from the infinitive form (to listen → listen) and you are ready to use the simple present tense with the subject I! Example: I send an email.

3 comes:

She comes home at 6 p.m. In the present simple tense, add an s at the end of the verb with subjects like she, he or it. Example: she rides a bike.

练习 4

Drag and drop the words into the blanks to complete the present simple tense conjugation of to walk.

To walk
walk
You
He/She/It
We walk
You walk
They walk

Drag and drop the words into the blanks to complete the present simple tense conjugation of to walk.

To walk
walk
You walk 1
He/She/It walks 2
We walk
You walk
They walk
1 walk:

You walk. In the present simple, we use the infinitive form without to for all pronouns, with the exception of he/she/it. Example: I/we/you/they walk home.

2 walks:

He/She/It walks. When conjugating the present simple with the subjects he/she/it, we add an s at the end of the infinitive form. Examples: he eats an ice cream; it snows in winter.
