Clarence suggests the "escargots" to Bruno.
He is suggesting snails.
He is suggesting snails.
snails: Clarence suggests the "escargots" to Bruno as an appetizer. The French term "escargot" is used in the United States and Britain, usually in fancy or expensive restaurants to refer to cooked "snails". The snail is the animal itself, a gastropod in the mollusk family.
snakes: Clarence suggests the "escargots" to Bruno, which refers to "snails", not snakes. A snake is serpent, a reptile found both on land and occasionally at sea. Well known species of snakes include anacondas, boa constrictors and pythons.
slugs: The slug is a mollusk in the same family as the snail, however they aren't the same animal, and Clarence is not suggesting slugs to Bruno. The principal difference between the snail and the slug is the slug's lack of a shell.
squid: The squid is a cephalopod found in the ocean. It can range in size from very small to giant. The giant squid is legendary for its confrontations with the Sperm whale, a whale famous for its role as Captain Ahab's primeval enemy in Herman Melville's Moby Dick. The squid is often eaten, usually in the form of "calamari", however Clarence is not suggesting the squid to Bruno in this scene.
