Joseph L. verhaal

I am a fourth generation franco-american by way of Quebec, Canada. I am the first generation in my family to have no knowledge of the French language. Our grandparents decided to not to pass on the French language in order for us to assimilate, although my father heard French often in the home. I have decided to learn my lost ancestral language. Frantastique has been a great tool in helping me achieve that goal. I am now passing French on to my grandson. We have our French history all the way back to Chambois in Normandy, France in the 16th century. So I want to revive our language in my family.
