Ejercicio 1
Who is Clarence?
Who is Clarence?
A "shopkeeper" refers to the owner of a shop or store. This term is never used to indicate the personnel at a restaurant.
Clarence announces that he will be the "server" this afternoon. The terms "server" and "waiter" are synonymous in this context: both refer to a male employee who serves food and drink to the patrons of a restaurant.
A "bartender" is responsible for serving and mixing drinks at a bar or restaurant. This term generally applies only to someone (male or female) who works from behind the counter or bar. Clarence is a server, or a waiter, not a bartender.
A servant is a domestic helper. It is an outdated term which is mostly used to talk about the domestic helpers of aristocrats from the past. Clarence is not a servant, but a "server", which is synonymous with a "waiter".
