Une baignoire 1

Une douche 2

Un lit 3

1 baignoire :

This picture shows une baignoire (a bathtub), which is pronounced . The phrase prendre un bain mean “to take a bath”. Example: Betty a une grande baignoire dans sa salle de bains (Betty has a large bathtub in her bathroom).

1 poire :

Une poire means “a pear”. That isn't what is shown here! Example: Cette tarte aux poires est très bonne ! (This pear tart is very good!).

1 bateau-mouche :

Fancy a trip down the Seine, Victor? A visit to Paris wouldn't be complete without a trip on a bateau-mouche (a pleasure boat), but that's not what the picture shows. Example: Emily passe devant Notre-Dame en bateau-mouche (Emily goes past Notre-Dame on a pleasure boat).

2 douche :

This image shows une douche (a shower) . We also use the word in the phrase prendre une douche (to take a shower). Example: Après le sport, je prends une douche (After playing sport, I take a shower).

2 douze :

Douze is the number twelve (12), so not the correct choice here. Example: Il y a douze mois dans une année (There are twelve months in a year).

2 doudoune :

Une doudoune means “a down jacket” or a “puffa jacket”, i.e. something a skier might wear in winter. That's not what's shown in the picture. Example: Je pars à Chamonix, où est ma doudoune ? (I'm going to Chamonix, where's my down jacket?).

3 lit :

This image shows un lit (a bed) . When booking a hotel room, we can ask for un lit double (a double bed) or un lit simple (a single bed). Example: Je peux dormir dans ton lit ? (Can I sleep in your bed?).

3 livre :

Un livre is a masculine noun meaning “a book”. Example: Flaubert a écrit des grands livres (Flaubert wrote great books). Note: the feminine noun la livre means “the pound”, i.e. the currency used in the UK.

3 litre :

Un litre (a liter) is a unit of measurement for liquids. Example: Betty a bu un litre de champagne (Betty drank a liter of champagne). I hope it's made her a little more “bubbly”, Victor! I'll show myself out.
