Essere (to be) and avere (to have) in the future tense

The verbs essere (to be) and avere (to have) are formed as follows in the future tense:

Essere

Tu sarai
Lui/lei sarà
Noi saremo

Avere
Io avrò
Tu avrai
Lui/lei avrà

Voi avrete
Loro avranno

Sarò di ritorno lunedì.

I will be back on Monday.

Luca avrà molti compiti per la prossima settimana. 

Luca will have lots of homework for next week.

The future tense is commonly used with expressions such as domani (tomorrow), lunedì prossimo (next Monday), la prossima settimana (next week), tra qualche mese (in a few months).

Domani invierò una lettera agli studenti. 

Tomorrow I will send a letter to the students.

Tra qualche mese avrò un fratellino. 

In a few months I will have a little brother.
