The passé composé: past participles ending in -ert

The verbs ouvrir (to open), offrir (to offer), and souffrir (to suffer) have past participles that end in -ert (ouvrir → ouvert, offrir → offert, souffrir → souffert). They are conjugated in the passé composé in the following way:
