The sounds œ and œu can be pronounced in different ways:
We pronounce like this:
un bœuf an ox
un œuf an egg
le cœur a heart
un œil an eye
We pronounce like this:
des bœufs oxen
des œufs eggs
un nœud a knot
des vœux wishes, a vow
