Brent says, "Today's top story: the world's oldest living man has died." The news report is about the death of an old man: Reginald Larby, who died at the age of 142.
Moira reports that Reginald lived through many important historic events, however this is not the main story which Moira and Brent are covering.
Although Moira says "five million Scottish people are drinking right now", this is not the subject of the news report, however.
A "diet" is a combination of the types and amounts of food eaten for health or medical reasons. Moira says that Reginald Larby "attributed his good health to his diet" which included regular alcohol consumption. The importance of alcohol to the diet is not the subject of this news report, however.

1 will: A "(legal) will" is an official document indicating distribution of possessions after death. Mrs Bentley reads a message from Brian's grandfather that declares "this to be my last will and testament". This is an official legal statement which is used to show that no other inheritance document is valid.
2 testament: A "testament" is another term for a "(legal) will". It is commonly used in legal English to refer to an official document indicating distribution of possessions after death.
3 event: "In the event of (something)" means "if (something) happens", or "in case it happens". Example: In the event of rain, the tennis match will be cancelled.
4 death: "Death" is the opposite of "life". It is common in "wills" or "testaments" to refer to one's "death".
5 bequeath: "To bequeath" is a legal term that means to leave or give (personal property) by a will or testament. Example: Bruno's grandfather bequeathed him a perfume shop.

2 death: According to Shane, the singer of this song, water tastes like "death", the state of being dead! This is pretty weird, isn't it? Note that "death" is a noun, "dead" is an adjective or adverb, and "to die" is a verb.
