Based on what Susie and Philip say to each other in this dialogue, what will happen next?
Based on what Susie and Philip say to each other in this dialogue, what will happen next?
This is incorrect. It is not Susie who has had the marketing idea, but Philip (for once)!
This is the right choice here. Philip says "I have just had a fantastic marketing idea. You really need to hear this. Can you come to my office right now please?". Susie replies, "I suppose so". "I suppose so" is a way of reluctantly accepting an invitation or agreeing with someone. Example: "-You do understand that it's important to keep your room tidy? -I suppose so."
This is incorrect. When Susie answers "I suppose so" to Philip's request, she is agreeing to meet with him in his office.
This is incorrect. Philip asks Susie to visit him in his office, and does not offer to go to her office to talk about his idea. Philip can be quite lazy sometimes.
