Never mind: Towards the end of the conversation, Icarus uses the expression "never mind", which expresses not only his frustration with Philip being unavailable for a drink later, but also that it "doesn't matter", or that it's not important or a big deal. Note that "mind" is used as a verb here and is synonymous with "care", "concern" and even "think" in this context.

This is not the best choice here.
NEVER MIND is a common way of saying "it's not important" or "it doesn't matter". Example: You didn't get that job? Oh well, NEVER MIND, they'll be plenty more opportunities. When Alice says she doesn't have an elf, Edward responds with "NEVER MIND" because he doesn't think that having an elf is important.
This is not the best choice here.
