The verb "to beg" is generally followed by an object: I beg you, She begged her. Occasionally, we use the construction "I beg OF you (to let me live)".
I begged them for help. I requested again and again that they assist me.
I beg you to forgive me! Please, please, please will you forgive me?
I beg your pardon?: Sorry? Could you say that again please?

begging: The verb "to beg" means to plead, demand or implore'. Someone on the street can beg for money or charity, or a student can beg a professor for an extension on their homework. In this dialogue, Harold begs Jesus for an aisle seat on the airplane.
