Some irregular verbs in the simple present
In the simple present, some verbs ending in -cer (like convencer/to convince, ejercer/to exercise and vencer/to defeat) are irregular with the pronoun yo (I): the c se changes to a z.
They are conjugated thus:
Tú convences
Él/ella/usted convence
Nosotros/as convencemos
Vosotros/as convencéis
Ellos/ellas/ustedes convencen
Tú ejerces
Él/ella/usted ejerce
