Indicative Present (simple): Bruno Delavigne jokes that he will die doing what he loves — running with bulls in Pamplona — but Horatio Oléré refuses to find it funny.
Indicative Present progressive / continuous: The legend of Xavier, the perfumer who died in a fragrance-related explosion, is dying slowly in Montmartre as fewer people remember the old man's shop.
Indicative Past (simple): Bruno's grandfather Xavier died in a tragic fragrance explosion, an event that changed the course of Bruno's life forever.
Indicative Past progressive / continuous: The small Montmartre perfume shop was dying a slow commercial death when Bruno vowed to transform it into something the world would never forget.
