Exclamatory sentences are used to emphasize strong feelings or emotions and generally end with “!”

Oh, what a beautiful house!

Climbing is great. So exciting!

There are several common structures used to form exclamatory sentences:

  • How + adjective/adverb/noun + (subject) + (verb) + … !

How sad!

How fast the train goes!

  • What + (article) + (adjective) + noun + … !

What an incredible city!

Oh no, what nonsense!

  • Such + (article) + adjective + noun + … !

Such an inspiring talk!

Such lovely flowers!

  • So + adjective + ! (Note that this structure usually requires additional context.)

That's amazing. So cool!
