Those blue socks don't match your red hair at all. Those two colors don't look good together.
Philip tried to match Luna up with his cousin, but things didn't work out. Despite Philip's efforts to get them together, they didn't have anything in common.
This year's sales figures don't match up to last year's. They are much worse!

In the USA, game is generally used more than match except for sports such as tennis, boxing, and rugby.
