The verb prendre in the present tense

In the present tense, the verb prendre (to take) is conjugated in the following way. The same goes for its derivatives, apprendre (to learn), comprendre (to understand), entreprendre (to undertake), surprendre (to surprise), etc. Be careful: the root prend- changes to pren- for the NOUS and VOUS forms, and to prenn- for the ILS/ELLES form.
